
The Belle Haven Community announced it will be hosting a on Tuesday August 7th in Menlo Park.
Organizers say the party will be held between the Mt. Olive Church and Hamilton Park from 6-9 p.m.
Menlo Park residents, along with hundreds of other people in the Bay Area, will be throwing barbecues and ice cream socials out in front of their homes that night as part of a national initiative that allows people the opportunity to get to know each other.

The goal of organizing a National Night Out event is to prevent crime and substance abuse by facilitating the formation of social bonds within a community. More than 37 million people in America participated in 2010, according to nationalnightout.org.
