A west-coast drug trafficking ring was taken down Wednesday, U.S. Attorney's office announced only hours ago. But 6 men involved remain at large.
Menlo Park and East Palo Alto Police collaborated with FBI Swat teams to arrest 27 men who allegedly were involved in trafficking methamphetamine, "crack," and other illegal substances.
Officers used the money, drugs, and firearms they seized during those arrests as evidence of intent to distribute today in federal court.
More than 900 law enforcement officials from Menlo Park, East Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Portland, Phoenix, and Las Vegas participated in the initiative to cease narcotic distribution.
