Investigators Unable To Determine Cause of June 3 Fire
The garage fire caused about $200,000 in damages.

Fire investigators have been unable to determine the cause of a
Menlo Park fire that caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a home earlier this month.
Menlo Park Fire Protection District Chief Harold Schapelhouman said that the extensive amount of damage to the house at 1041 Sierra Drive and the subsequent collapse of a garage roof prevented officials from determining an exact cause.
Firefighters went to the house at about 10:40 p.m. on June 3 after getting a call reporting flames and smoke coming from the front of the garage, Schapelhouman said.

Six people and two cats evacuated the house safely.
Most of the damage was confined to the garage, where two parked vehicles were destroyed, Schapelhouman said.
