Las Lomitas Education Foundation Donates Millions
Non-profit committed to funding education for children in Menlo Park and Atherton.

The Las Lomitas Education Foundation announced that it raised $2,400,000 for education initiatives this past year, and plans to donate that amount to the Las Lomitas Elementary School District to supplement the budget for the next academic year.
"This gift is awe-inspiring and couldn’t have happened at a better time,” said Eric Hartwig, Superintendent of LLESD.
“At a time when so many other school districts are forced to make steep cuts in staff and programs and struggle with the consequences, we are very fortunate to be able to continue focus on providing the best education and enrichment programs possible that parents desire and the students deserve,” he said.
The funding could be used to hire six more teachers, and enable the continuation of a music class for fourth and fifth graders.
