Oak Knoll Needs Volunteers

School leaders prepare for school-wide community service project.

leaders seek parent volunteers to help facilitate the life skill acquisition of the month of March, which is “acceptance and compassion.”

The school will partner will partner with the philanthropic organization My New Red Shoes, a Burlingame-based organization that aims to help children from low-income households gain in the Bay Area confidence from new shoes and clothing.

Meredith Walsey, grade level coordinator for the fourth grade at , is looking for parents to help collect donations during a shoe drive that will take place during the morning drop-off. 

The shoe drive will take place between 7:40 a.m. 8:15 a.m. from March 12 through the 16th.

Walsey also needs help making cards during lunch recess and gift bag sewing.
