PG&E on Tuesday will be conducting safety tests on a section of natural gas transmission pipeline near 280.
Excavation work will allow crews to perform hydrotests on Line 109, which runs through the Interstate Highway 280 corridor, according to PG&E. Crews will be testing a portion of the pipeline that runs between Wilmington Way and Sand Hill Road.
On Tuesday PG&E will be venting the gas out of the pipeline at a valve station near Edgewood Road and Canada Road. PG&E said that residents in the area might be able to detect the smell of gas during testing.
