PG&E will be releasing natural gas in unincorporated areas of San Mateo County west of Menlo Park on Friday, October 5.
Crews will be moving gas through the pipes near the intersection of Cañada and Edgewood Roads to work on pipe sections one at a time, said Joe Molica, PG&E Spokesman.
“As we perform this work, customers in the area may smell natural gas and hear the sound of it venting from the pipe,” Molica said. “It will quickly dissipate into the atmosphere and is not harmful,” he added. This activity will happen between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
If you are concerned about the safety of your business or home, you can call PG&E at 1-800-743-5000.
The company does not plan to interrupt service.
