San Carlos Bank Robber At Large

Police seek help finding man.

"I have a gun. Give me all the money. Big bills. No dye packs. No games."

That was the note slipped to a San Carlos bank teller Thursday afternoon by a robber who made off with more than $3,000 and remains at large, police said.

The suspect walked into the Chase bank at 845 Laurel St. at about 12:45 p.m. and presented the note to the teller before grabbing the cash and exiting through the bank's eastern doors.

The teller immediately called 911, and deputies from the San Carlos Police Bureau were dispatched to the bank at 12:48 p.m.

Local and county law enforcement agencies conducted an extensive search for the victim without success. Sheriff's deputies, however, did locate a beige overcoat worn by the suspect during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact Detective Sgt. Gibbons at (650) 363-4063 or to call the San Mateo County sheriff's anonymous tip line at (800) 547-2700.
