Sand Hill Road Project Delayed
Menlo Park's Public Works department advises drivers to expect delays on the road.
A gas pipeline replacement project on Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park is going to take longer to complete than expected, said Chip Taylor, public works director for the city of Menlo Park.
“Unforeseen site an construction issues” have forced crews to extend the project timeline, he announced on Nov. 1.
which began in August, will require crews to work during the day and night on the section of road between Sand Hill Circle and Branner Drive.

“A few final construction activities require large blocks of time, so PG&E will be working on a couple of upcoming Sundays from 8:00am to 6:00am on the following Monday,” Taylor said.
Taylor expects crews to finish part of the project by November 30, 2012.

“The street will be patched over the trench for now, due to the delay pushing the project into the rainy season," Taylor said. "The final paving across the entire half street will not take place until spring of 2013, but once complete, the street should look as good as new.”
