School District Filling Positions on Bond Oversight Committee
Menlo Park City School District has five openings.

Five years ago, people who lived in the Menlo Park City School District approved the sale of $91.1 million in bonds to replace portable classrooms with buildings and modernize existing facilities.
Now, the district is looking for five people to join its Bond Oversight Committee to conduct performance audits on those Measure U Bond projects.
The Committee is composed of seven people with different skill sets who reside within the boundaries of the school district, according to , district facilities director. Some of the primary responsibilities of the committee are to review bond expenditures to make sure that the money was spent on district improvements, and prepare the annual performance reports that are required by Proposition 39.
The district is looking for people who are more than 18 years of age who fit the following descriptions:

- Two people who are parents or guardians of a child enrolled in the district
- One person who is active in the business community
- One person who is active in a senior citizen’s organization
- One person who is active in a bona fide tax payer’s organization.
