Power Outage in Sharon Heights Neighborhood
PG&E says origin of outage by Avy Avenue.
Nearly 100 PG&E customers in Menlo Park were left in the dark Tuesday morning after an outage interrupted service near the Sharon Heights neighborhood, a PG&E spokeswoman said.
The outage was reported at about 12:10 a.m., affecting 86 customers residing on Avy Avenue, near Sharon Hills Park, according to PG&E spokeswoman Jana Morris.
Morris said that crews were still investigating the cause of the outage at 4 a.m.
"They are walking the line of the circuit, from beginning to end, to see if there is something obvious causing the interruption," she said.
"If there is not something like a car or vegetation that has damaged the lines, the crews will begin tests to identify failed equipment," she added.
Morris said that service is expected to be restored by 10 a.m.
