Silicon Valley Beer Week Kicks Off

Many businesses in Silicon Valley are participating this week in the first annual Silicon Valley Beer Week. The event, which starts today and runs through Aug. 3, highlights restaurants, breweries and other venues that are passionate about craft beer in the area.

Aug. 1:

11:30 a.m.-9 p.m.   Hand Pump Hijack + BBQ at the Freewheel Brewing Company in Redwood City

5-9 p.m.   Calicraft Tasting at Refuge in Menlo Park

6-10:30 p.m.    Sour Beer not Kraut at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City.



August 2:


noon-10 p.m.   Almanac Tasting at Refuge in Menlo Park

4:30-6:30 p.m.   Barrel Aged Bonanza Beer Tasting at Beltramo’s Wines & Spirits in Atherton.

6-11 p.m.    Go Wild With Allagash! At Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City
