Teen Hospitalized, Shot In Leg Walking Dog On Peninsula

The 17-year-old said he was returning from the 76 convenience store with a friend on Tuesday night.

MENLO PARK, CA -- A man was hospitalized after he was shot Tuesday night at the intersection of East O'Keefe Street and Menalto Avenue.

After the 10:38 p.m. call was made, Menlo Park officers arrived to find a shooting victim sitting on the sidewalk in the 100 block of East O'Keefe Street. The 17-year-old juvenile victim sustained a gunshot wound to his right calf. The teen said he was walking his dog on with a friend on his way back from the 76 convenience store at the time.

Officers canvassed the area and found a shell casing just south of where the victim was sitting. Detectives are investigating the case.
