Teen Hurt in Drive-By Shooting

It happened two blocks from Belle Haven Community School.

A 17-year-old boy was shot Thursday evening in a drive-by shooting in Menlo Park, police said.
 
Police received calls of shots fired in the 1400 block of Plumas Avenue at about 6:25 p.m. At the scene police found the teen suffering from a gunshot wound, according to police.

The boy was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries, which were not life-threatening, police said.

Police said the victim was shot by a passenger in a car heading west in the 1400 block of Plumas Avenue.

There were two males in the car, including the shooter. The car was described as a white compact vehicle, police said.
