Troop 206 and Suburban Park Neighbors Team Up to Fight Hunger

Local Scouts and neighbors join forces to support families facing food insecurity in East Palo Alto.

MENLO PARK — Scout Troop 206 and residents of the Suburban Park neighborhood came together once again this year for the annual Scouting for Food drive, supporting the Ecumenical Hunger Program in East Palo Alto.

Through the generous contributions of local families and the hard work of Scouts collecting donations door-to-door, the community delivered more than 800 pounds of much-needed food to help local families in need.

“This is one of our favorite service projects each year,” said John Grundy, Scoutmaster for Troop 206. “It’s a simple way to make a real difference right here in our own community.”
