Foggy weather throughout the Bay Area early this morning has prompted fog advisories on area roads and bridges, according to the California Highway Patrol.
In the North Bay, patchy dense fog spurred a hazardous weather notice from the National Weather Service Thursday night.
A fog advisory is in place for the western span of the Bay Bridge and on the San Mateo and Dumbarton bridges this morning, according to the CHP.
Both directions of state Highway 1 near Pacifica are also under a fog advisory as of 12:04 a.m., according to the CHP.
Patchy dense fog in the North Bay expected throughout the morning is affecting visibility, dropping it to a quarter mile or less, according to weather officials.
Drivers are advised to cruise with caution.
No other hazardous weather is expected in the area, weather officials reported.
