Councilmember Keith Invites Menlo Park Residents To Emergency Response Discussion
The Community Emergency Response Team in Menlo Park's Willows neighborhood invites residents to learn how their neighbors will handle a disaster.

The Community Emergency Response Team in the Willows is getting active. We welcome and look forward to more community involvement.
We meet on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at Cafe Zoe, 1929 Menalto Street, Menlo Park, to prepare our neighborhood to respond to a disaster. Next Thursday, August 1st, our keynote speaker, Steve Taffee, will speak about the important topic of disaster psychology.
Future topics for discussion include individual emergency preparation, preparation for three days supply of water and food, San Francisquito Creek flooding issues and many other issues. If there is a topic residents would like to discuss, we will do so.
I encourage residents to sign up for the next CERT training September 7th and 21stat www.menlofire.org. The class is so important as a first step to learn how to take better care of yourself, your family and loved ones. A time commitment of two Saturdays could save a life.
