City Presentation on Millbrae Fire Station Consolidation

Millbrae administrators and politicians are working to save money while continuing to provide services. How are they doing?

The presentation posted above this article was provided to Millbrae residents at a community meeting to discuss fire station consolidation on April 10.

The meeting was meant to give residents a chance to ask questions about the consolidation plan, which would have a fire station in both Millbrae and Burlingame close.  A new station is planned between the sites of the closed stations.

Union personnel don’t believe the plan will result in any job losses for current employees because so many positions are currently unfilled and fire department administrators believe the consolidation will save money by lowering overtime costs.
