Girl, 11, Hurt In Peninsula Hit-And-Run

The driver fled but may have initially stopped at the scene, based on initial reports from a witness.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A hit-and-run collision in South San Francisco Thursday morning injured an 11-year-old girl who was walking across a street in the crosswalk, police said.

The collision was reported at about 7:45 a.m. at the intersection of Grand and Eucalyptus avenues, according to police.

The girl was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said. The driver fled but may have initially stopped at the scene, based on initial reports from a witness.

Police have not released any description of the driver or vehicle.
