Palm Sunday: Where to Worship in Millbrae

The Christian Holy Week begins Sunday, March 24.

Palm Sunday is the start of the Christian Holy Week. The day commemorates the arrival of Jesus in Jerusalem, an event that was celebrated by his followers who, the Bible says, took palm branches and went out to greet him joyously, according to the account in John 12: 12-19.

For those of the Christian faith, celebration turns to sorrow on Good Friday, marking the crucifixion of Jesus. Two days later, joy is restored with Easter Sunday, the day Christians believe Jesus was resurrected, offering eternal life to all.

Easter comes at a time that is known for renewal—spring brings new growth and many people see the season as a time for fresh starts. If you're looking for a place to worship, Millbrae offers many from which to choose.
