Man's Body Found On Bay Area Beach Identified
Officials identified the body of a local man missing since April. His body was found on a beach miles away from his car parked in Marin.
Officials have identified the body of a man who was reported missing in Sonoma County in April and was found on the San Francisco shoreline, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.
On April 16, Wen Hui Wu, 38, was reported missing to Rohnert Park authorities by a significant other after not returning home for two days.
On the following day, Wu's vehicle was located in the Marin Headlands.

Multiple search and rescue teams from Marin County, the National Park Service and the U.S. Coast Guard began a search for Wu but he was not located.
On May 21, U.S. Park Police notified Rohnert Park officials that on May 16, a deceased person was found on the shoreline of Ocean Beach in San Francisco.
A preliminary investigation conducted by park police indicated that the death did not occur on Ocean Beach, and that the deceased person was washed onto the shore after being in the water for an extended period of time, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said.
The deceased person's body was significantly decomposed at the time of recovery.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner took custody of the decedent in an attempt to identify them and to determine a cause of death.
On Sept. 18, the California Department of Justice confirmed through DNA analysis that the deceased person located at Ocean Beach was in fact Wu.
