MARIN COUNTY, CA — Bay Area health officials are advising parents in Marin County to put getting their kids vaccinated at the top of the back-to-school checklist before school starts.
“We cannot afford to let immunization coverage slip,” said Dr. Lisa Santora, Marin County Health Officer. “Vaccines are one of our most powerful tools for ensuring every child — regardless of race, zip code, or income — has the opportunity to grow up healthy and safe.”
Locally, health officials in Marin County are aimed at upholding the credibility of vaccine science and ensuring equal access to these tools as essential steps toward promoting health and protecting the most vulnerable populations in the community.
