Mill Valley Photo Competition Opens Participant Registration
The competition is open to all ages and features awards for Best in Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of three age ranges.
MILL VALLEY, CA — The city of Mill Valley is holding a photo competition allowing residents and visitors to the city to show off their best shots of Marin County.
Four categories, randomly chosen by the city’s recreation department staff, for the competition are expected to be announced Oct. 18, during a 6 p.m. “Click-Off – Kick-off” Zoom meeting.
Those registered to participate will be informed of their randomly selected category and image uploading instructions via email Thursday, Oct. 20 by 3 p.m., the city said.

Participants of the Click Off photography competition will capture images pertaining to one of four subject categories within Marin County during the dates of Oct. 20 through Nov. 3 and will have until midnight Nov. 3 to upload the image they select as the best representation of their subject category.
Online registration is now open for the 2022 Click Off competition, which is divided into three different age ranges, Youth (10 years and under), Young Adult (11 to 17 years) and Adult (18 and over).

Fees to enter the competition are $15 for those 15 years of age and younger and for those 62 or older. For those ages 16 to 61 the fee is $25.
Awards will be given for Best in Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each age range and winners will have their winning image displayed on a lamp post banner along Miller Avenue for the month of January 2023. Once the lamp post banners have been removed, they will be given to the winning photographers as a memento of their competition win, the city said.
Images must be captured within Marin County during the contest dates, the city said.
