Mill Valley Preschoolers Host Firefighters At Rec Center Event
The event helps promotes a better understanding of what firefighters do to keep the community safe, a Mill Valley spokesperson said.
MILL VALLEY, CA — Some Mill Valley preschoolers this week got to learn about keeping the public safe from the professionals.
Around 40 of Marin’s youngest students got to spend part of their day Wednesday with Mill Valley firefighters at the city's Recreation Center. The children were shown around the truck and got to ask questions.
The event is held regularly through the Mill Valley Recreation Department as part of a city program to introduce children to first responders and learn about what they do.

Members of the Mill Valley Police Department read to the children once a month too, Mill Valley spokesperson David Dubin said.
