Road Closures Announced For Marin County Bicycle Event
An annual bicycle ride will cause several roads to be shut down, police said.
MILL VALLEY, CA — Police said they will shut down multiple roads Saturday in Mill Valley for the fourth annual Bay Area Kelly Brush Ride.
From 8-10 a.m. on Saturday, staggered road and mountain bicycle rides will launch from downtown Mill Valley.
All cyclists will finish in downtown Mill Valley where there will be a gathering in the Depot Plaza until 4 p.m.

There will be "No Parking" signs posted in the downtown area.
From 7-11 a.m., Miller Avenue, between Throckmorton Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue, will remain closed in both directions. Mill Valley Police officers said they will be on-site to open Miller Avenue if emergency access is needed.

From 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Depot Plaza cut-thru, which is an extension of northbound Miller Avenue, will be closed for the duration of the event.
Brief traffic delays at the intersections of Miller and Montford avenues and Miller Avenue and Almonte Boulevard are expected as police will be on-site assisting cyclists through the intersections.
Police said they encourage residents to use E. Blithedale Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and noon and to allow for extra time to reach their destination.
