Calaveras Road To Be Closed Tuesday To Reduce Weeds

MILPITAS, CA — Calaveras Road will be closed all day next Tuesday between Piedmont and Downing roads in order for weed abatement, the police department reported.

Motorists, cyclists and pedestrians are advised to avoid that stretch from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.

Detour signs will be set up to direct traffic onto Old Calaveras Road, which may be accessed from Vista Ridge Drive or from Downing Road depending upon residency.

The Milpitas Public Works Department will be performing necessary work to rid the area of weeds, and at the same time, conduct a little road repair.
