Milpitas Duo Arrested, Accused Of Robbing Man In Meet Up: Police
The set up meeting between the woman and the victim ended up as a robbery and assault at a Milpitas residence, police said.
MILPITAS, CA — A meet up gone bad on Elm Avenue in Milpitas resulted in robbery with two suspects arrested who are known to the authorities, the Milpitas Police Department reported Monday night.
According to the police report, the 25-year-old San Jose victim arranged to meet with one of the suspects identified as Suzette Christine Andrews, 39, of Milpitas, at a residence on the 400 block of Elm Avenue on June 18 at about 12:30 a.m.
Once there, the other suspect identified as John Anthony Walter, 33, of Milpitas, confronted the victim at the front door. Walter used an unknown object to strike the victim on his head and stole his cell phone and wallet. The victim returned to his home in San Jose and contacted the San Jose Police Department to report the incident, who then contacted the Milpitas Police Department.

At 1:35 p.m., Milpitas Police detectives located Walter and Andrews in Milpitas and obtained a search warrant for their residence that resulted in the discovery of the victim’s property and a Taurus .38 caliber revolver. Detectives also located a Mossberg .22 caliber bolt action rifle in the trunk of Andrews’ vehicle.
Andrews was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for being a felon in possession of a
firearm. Walter was booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and committing a felony while out of custody on bail on a different criminal matter.
