Deadline Approaches For Youth Art Contest
Milpitas children have until Friday to enter Assemblymember Alex Lee's contest, which focuses on the future of transit.
MILPITAS, CA — The deadline is approaching for California Assemblymember Alex Lee's (D-24) second annual Youth Art Contest. He invites K-12 students in his district, including Milpitas, to showcase their creativity under the theme "Riding Future Transit."
The contest encourages young artists from Fremont, Milpitas, Newark, Northern San Jose, and Sunol to envision the future of public transportation as California transitions to zero-emission vehicles. With buses and trains playing a vital role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, Lee hopes the contest will inspire students to imagine the transit systems of tomorrow.
"Transportation is key in our fight against climate change," Lee said. "This contest gives students a chance to share their vision of the clean, efficient transit systems that will shape their future."
