SAN JOSE, CA — A DUI suspect in a stolen car remains at large after fleeing on foot from officers who pursued him from state Highway 87 to a dead end in San Jose early this morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

Officers attempted to pull over the suspected DUI driver, who didn't respond to their emergency lights on northbound Highway 87 around 4 a.m., CHP Officer Ross Lee said.

The officers trailed the driver as he exited to Skyport Drive just east of Mineta San Jose International Airport and turned right to Technology Drive, where he hit a dead end and ran away, Lee said. A CHP helicopter crew searched for the suspect on any rooftops in the area, but were unable to find him, according to Lee.
