Duo Arrested, Accused On Gun, Drug Charges Per Police

Milpitas officers took the San Jose man and woman in custody after a traffic stop net a concealed, loaded firearm and drugs, police said.

MILPITAS, CA -- A San Jose man and female transient were arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed, loaded weapon and drugs as well as violating a criminal protective order, the Milpitas Police Department reported.

Milpitas police stopped Sonjohnny Ba Le, 27, on the 300 block of Piedmont Road for a traffic violation at 12:56 a.m. Monday, with Lorena Reyna, 28, as a passenger inside the 2002 silver Honda Civic. Officers searched Le’s vehicle and found a loaded .380 caliber pistol hidden inside. He was also in possession of oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

Computer checks of Le and Reyna also revealed he was in violation of a served criminal protective order and she was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. She is also facing an allegation of providing false identity.

During a search of Reyna officers located approximately 2.8 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Officers also determined that she was under the influence of a controlled substance.
