Felon Arrested, Accused Of Possessing Loaded Gun In Milpitas
The arrest was the result of a suspicious activity call made Monday morning on East Capitol Avenue.

MILPITAS, CA -- A 38-year-old transient was arrested early Monday morning in Milpitas on suspicion of possessing a loaded gun as a convicted felon.
Darrell Ramel Roberson was taken into custody when officers arrived to the 700 block of East Capitol Avenue after taking a 5:27 a.m. call Monday of a suspicious subject with a flashlight looking into a van, Milpitas police said.
Officers saw a couple of subjects standing next to a van. One of the subjects later identified as Roberson dropped a loaded Colt .22 handgun to the ground as officers approached him. They conducted a high-risk pedestrian stop and booked Roberson into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for being a felon in possession of a loaded firearm and not being the registered owner.
