Former Milpitas Teacher Arrested, Accused Of Sexual Assault
The former teacher was arrested at his home in San Mateo after a woman reported sexual contact while she was his student in 2016.

MILPITAS, CA — A former Milpitas High School teacher was arrested this week on suspicion of the sexual assault of a former student at the school, police said Thursday.
Daniel McQuigg, 56, was arrested Tuesday at his home in San Mateo after a woman contacted Milpitas police last month to report that McQuigg had initiated a sexual relationship with her in 2016 when he was her teacher at the school.
Police noted that McQuigg's employment with the Milpitas Unified School District ended in 2018. The school district was not immediately available to comment on the case.

After his arrest, McQuigg was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of several counts of felony sexual assault, according to Milpitas police.
