Fremont Burglars Used Slingshot For Restaurant Break In

Police are looking for two men who allegedly used a slingshot to break into a restaurant in Fremont early Thursday morning.

FREMONT - Police are looking for two men who allegedly used a slingshot to break into a restaurant in Fremont early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to the 46600 block of Mission Boulevard at 4:11 a.m.

Around 3:47 a.m. the suspects shattered a window using a slingshot, then entered the restaurant through the front door and stole cash from a safe, according to police.

The suspects were captured on surveillance video, however.

Both of them are described as heavy-built Hispanic men with dark mustaches and goatees, police said.

The first suspect had short dark hair, and was wearing a light colored hooded jacket with black gloves, dark pants and dark shoes, according to police.

The second suspect was wearing a dark hat, light hooded sweater, light pants and dark shoes.
