Man Accused Of Kidnapping Woman, 3 Children Arrested In Milpitas
The Santa Clara man faces a multitude of counts including violating a restraining order, assault, theft and drug charges.

MILPITAS, CA -- A 33-year-old Santa Clara resident was arrested Sunday on suspicion of kidnapping, assault, auto theft and other charges following a disturbance and a vehicle crash on the 700 block of South Abel St. in Milpitas.
According to Milpitas Police, Ray Arthur Flores violated a restraining order when he forced a woman and her three children in her car from her San Jose home and drove erratically through Milpitas before colliding with another vehicle.
A call came in at 11:44 a.m. of a domestic disturbance inside a vehicle near the Great Mall of the Bay Area at 1100 Great Mall Drive. The reporting party saw Flores, and female passenger arguing inside the vehicle. Flores began hitting the victim several times while driving along Montague Expressway, police said.

Officers responded within two minutes of the call and brought Flores into custody after a brief foot pursuit. During the investigation, officers determined the victim had a restraining order protecting her from Flores.
The victim and her children were safely reunited with family members.

Flores was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on allegations of domestic violence, a restraining order violation, kidnapping, false imprisonment, auto theft, child endangerment, fleeing the scene of a traffic collision, narcotic-related offenses and an outstanding warrant.
