Peeping Tom Who Exposed Himself Arrested In San Jose, Police Said

SJ police said they took the Mendocino man into custody after he hung around Meadowlands Lane, peeping into windows and exposing himself.

SAN JOSE, CA -- A 60-year-old Mendocino man was arrested on allegations of peeping and prowling in the Meadowlands area of San Jose, the police department announced.

The department's Sexual Assault Investigations Unit took Mark Veregge into custody and booked him on multiple counts into Santa Clara County Jail.

Police determined that, between Feb. 15 and March 5, Veregge committed several acts of indecent exposure. In two incidents, Veregge was captured on video surveillance walking naked to a residence in the 3600 block of Meadowlands Lane. In both incidents, Veregge knocked on the front door, looked through a window and fled the scene.

In the third incident, Veregge was captured on video surveillance wearing a dress as he approached a residence in the 3300 block of the street. This time, Veregge knocked on the front door and exposed himself before fleeing the scene.
