Bay Area Local Brings Popular Pizza Franchise To Silicon Valley

MILPITAS, CA — After growing up in the Bay Area, this 13-time world pizza champion can’t wait to finally open his newest location of a beloved pizza franchise in Milpitas.

“As we continue to expand Slice House’s footprint across the country, it’s especially exciting for me to open doors throughout the Bay Area where I grew up and launched my pizza career – and this is true for Milpitas,” said Tony Gemignani, who is originally from Fremont and founded Slice House in 2010 in San Francisco. “We are so appreciative of the leadership and dedication of our experienced brand partners to bring this location to life and look forward to sharing our artisan pizzas with this dynamic community come the fall.”

Slice House will be opening its next location in October at 1286 Great Mall Parkway within The Fields mixed-use complex offering up some award-winning pizzas.

Operated by Ratika Tyagi and Shafaq Chawla of Pizza Craft LLC, Slice House Milpitas will offer Gemignani’s famous pizzas — New York, Sicilian, Grandma, and Detroit styles — by the slice or whole, with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.

“It’s been a pleasure working with and representing pizza icon Tony Gemignani through our other Slice House locations, and we are looking forward to sharing that same dedication to his craft here in Milpitas,” Tyagi said. “We have seen such a positive response to Tony’s artisan pizzas and spirited approach, so are confident the same will be true here and look forward to sharing that with the greater Milpitas community later this year.”

The menu also includes pasta, wings and salads. Drinks include beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. The restaurant will have indoor seating for 22, limited sidewalk seating and offer takeout and delivery through in-store, online or by phone. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Fields, a large mixed-use community in Milpitas, near the Great Mall and downtown San Jose, features four luxury apartment buildings, 123,000 square feet of retail, and 200 corporate housing units. Slice House joins existing retailers Trader Joe’s, LaserAway, Orange Theory, and Starbucks, serving the complex's growing community.

Slice House Milpitas, conveniently located near the Great Mall, schools, medical centers, tech businesses, and the new Milpitas BART station, is set to become a popular dining spot for students, professionals, residents and commuters.
