Residents Evacuated Due to Gas Leak
The leak was reported around 2 p.m. Sunday on Lassen Avenue in Milpitas.

Several homes were evacuated Sunday afternoon after a gas leak was reported in the 1200 block of Lassen Avenue in Milpitas.
The Milpitas Fire Department arrived around 2 p.m. March 24 to find that a gas line had failed during construction work, according to the Milpitas Fire Department.
Residents were alerted of the leak and homes in the vicinity of the leak were evacuated. Eight residents were temporarily relocated to the Milpitas Sports Center while PG&E crews worked to stop the leak.

The leak was contained around 4 p.m. and residents were notified they could return to their homes.
