A Santa Clara DUI Checkpoint is set for this Friday night at an already-announced location.

SANTA CLARA - Some simple advice. Don't drive after you've been drinking at the beginning of this Memorial Day weekend in the Santa Clara area.
If you do, you may find yourself stopped by a DUI/drivers license checkpoint announced for Friday night in Santa Clara at which Santa Clara County’s Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Task Force officers will be looking for intoxicated or drugged drivers.
The Santa Clara Police Department has announced it will be holding a DUI/Driver’s License Checkpoint on Friday, May 27 from 9:00 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. near Stevens Creek Blvd and Winchester Ave.

In addition, authorities say the California Highway Patrol is using all available officers this Memorial Day weekend on freeways and county roads as part of a Maximum Enforcement Period.
