South Bay Couple Arrested, Accused Of Motorcycle Theft: Police

A police lieutenant happened to spot the couple standing next to a motorcycle reported stolen by San Jose Police and noted other violations.

MILPITAS, CA — A South Bay couple was arrested a week ago on suspicion of auto theft outside a Walmart in Milpitas after a police lieutenant witnessed the Salinas man and San Jose woman standing next to a motorcycle reported stolen, the department said.

Christopher Heath Burnsed, 34, was booked into Santa Clara County Jail for being in possession of the 2015 Silver Yamaha FZ-07 Motorcycle on 300 block of Ranch Drive last week at 8:52 p.m., Milpitas police said. San Jose Police reported the motorcycle missing two days before.

It was determined Burnsed was on probation out of Santa Clara County for drug sales and had an additional grant of probation out of Alameda County for auto theft. Burnsed was also in possession of counterfeit currency, Milpitas Police added.

Kimberly Anne Johnson, 51, who had a misdemeanor warrant out of El Dorado County for traffic
violations, was cited and released for the warrant.
