South Bay Couple Arrested, Accused Of Stealing Fremont Motorcycle

The man and woman, who had priors, were also in possession of drugs when apprehended at the Best Value Inn, according to Milpitas Police.

MILPITAS, CA — A South Bay couple was arrested at a motel on suspicion of possessing a motorcycle reported stolen to Fremont Police in May, the Milpitas Police Department reported Wednesday night.

Milpitas officers spotted the 2004 white Suzuki GSX-R1000 parked outside the Best Value Inn at 485 South Main St. in Milpitas on Saturday at 7:44 a.m. and associated it with suspects Christopher Scroggins, 35, of San Jose, and Kyndra Wozniak, 24, Campbell, who were staying in the motel.

Milpitas Police officers took Scroggins into custody as he left the motel room, while discovering he was on Santa Clara County probation for possession of a stolen vehicle, narcotics violations and resisting arrest.

Officers also ran a search on Wozniak, whose record check revealed she had a felony warrant for burglary out of San Jose.

A search of the motel room turned up methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Scroggins was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for driving a stolen motorcycle with prior
auto theft convictions and a probation violation. Wozniak was also booked there on her warrant and additional drug charges.
