Two Arrested, Accused Of Fraud At Chase Bank

Milpitas police said the two San Jose women had concocted a scheme to get money off a stolen check.

MILPITAS, CA -- Two San Jose women were arrested while accused in a scheme of trying to pass a fraudulent check at Chase Bank in Milpitas last week.

Brandi Elizabeth Brown, 39, and Angelic Renee Quintana, 30, were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail. Brown faces charges of attempting to cash a fraudulent check and possession of stolen property. Quintana had an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest connected to an auto theft case.

Milpitas police officers responded on Friday at 4:46 p.m. to the Chase Bank located at 37 North Milpitas Blvd. on a report of a suspect attempting to cash a fraudulent check. When officers arrived within one minute of the original call, they noticed Brown and Quintana trying to flee.
