Two Arrested in Milpitas for Allegedly Driving Stolen Car
The men were booked on several charges. Breaking.
MILPITAS, CA — Two men were arrested in Milpitas Sunday night after officers discovered them driving in an alleged stolen vehicle, according to police.
Police said officers patrolling the area of Montague Expressway stopped a stolen 1989 Mazda pickup truck at 9:13 p.m. The two occupants, Brandon Laidlaw, 42 and Gustavo Angeles, 51, appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance, and were arrested without incident.
Further investigations revealed Laidlaw was allegedly in possession of a set of metal knuckles, commonly referred to as "brass knuckles", and was found to be on probation in Santa Clara County.

Additionally, Angeles had an active warrant from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's office for failing to properly register as a sex offender. Both men were booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Laidlaw was also booked on suspicion of being in possession of a stolen vehicle, and metal knuckles as well as probation violation, and Angeles was additionally booked for his outstanding warrant.
