Woman Arrested, Accused Of Attempted Burglary: Milpitas Police
According to police, a homeowner on Alisal Court called Saturday morning to claim a woman holding a shovel was trying to break in.

MILPITAS, CA — A 23-year-old transient was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary on the 800 block of Alisal Court.
A resident called the Milpitas Police Department to report a female attempting to enter his home through a backyard window Saturday at 5:07 a.m. Officers arrived on the scene in two minutes and found Maria Barraza-Hernandez holding a shovel in the backyard of the victim's home, police said.
Barraza-Hernandez had a felony warrant for her arrest on burglary accusations from an incident occurring in Concord. She also faces allegations of being in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was booked into the Santa Clara County Mail Jail for attempted residential burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and the felony warrant.
