Woman Arrested, Accused Of Grandson's Death, Milpitas PD Say
The 70-year-old grandmother was taken into custody on Wednesday, two days after police found the 3-year-old child unresponsive, police said.

MILPITAS, CA -- A 70-year-old grandmother was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of killing her 3-year-old grandchild two days before at a residence on the 700 block of Luz Del Sol Loop in Milpitas.
Foos Abdi Hashi of Milpitas resident was taken into custody two days after Milpitas police officers responded to a call of an unresponsive 3-year old male at 4:44 p.m., the Milpitas Police Department.
An officer immediately began performing CPR. Additional police officers and Milpitas Fire Department personnel arrived at the residence and continued lifesaving efforts. Paramedics transported the child to a local hospital and, despite the efforts of the first responders and hospital staff, the child died. The child’s death was later determined to be a homicide.

At 6:20 p.m., detectives from the Milpitas Police Department obtained a warrant for Hashi and arrested her in San Jose. Hashi was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on homicide, police indicated.
