City Of Mission Viejo: ‘Time To Play Some Hoops' With Spirit League Basketball

The City is teaming up with Spirit League to offer leagues for youth and adult athletes with developmental disabilities who are physically active (ambulatory) but have difficulty keeping up with their peers.

Registration is now open through February 28 for the 2022 Outdoor Basketball program that takes place every Saturday from April 16 to June 25 at Newhart Middle School.
Spirit League emphasizes teaching sports fundamentals and social skills to boys and girls starting at age 6 up to adults aged 30 with autism or other developmental disabilities. Spirit League Basketball and other programs focus on fostering self-esteem, enhancing social skills, and building friendships.
