Elks Bingo Paid for Conan, a New Police Dog

Meet the new Belgian shepherd protecting Mission Viejo

Mission Viejo has a new four-footed guardian now that the Mission Viejo Elks Lodge 2444 has donated $15,000 to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Conan is a Belgian shepherd dog, also known as a Belgian malinois. He replaces Kilo, a K9 who retired in November when handler Deputy Kurimay was promoted to sergeant and transferred to custody.

Deputy Buhr will handle Conan.
