What are the latest drug trends?
Reports of people smoking alcohol, taking synthetic marijuana and even applying vodka to their eyeballs show that drug users are finding new ways to get high.
The Orange County Sheriff's Department will discuss recent drug trends Thursday at the Norman P. Murray Community Center, 24932 Veterans Way, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Topics will include:
- Recognizing signs of at-risk behavior in your child
- Recognizing the newest drugs and substances found in schools
- How to identify the different adolescent subcultures
- Understanding what your children are exposed to on the Internet and the risks involved with the social networking applications they are using
- Law enforcement’s approach to juvenile violators
- Resources available to families
