'Family Meant Everything To Mark' Mission Viejo Family Mourns Loss

A Mission Viejo family is still shocked and saddened at the sudden and tragic death of their husband and father.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — The family of Mark Robb was shocked and saddened to learn of his sudden passing on May 16. A resident of Mission Viejo, Robb and his family are in great need for donations for his funeral and other costs, a family friend wrote in a GoFundMe for the Robb family.

"The news has shocked the community and we feel compelled to come around the Robb family in the middle of this tragedy" Kelsey Yuhas wrote on the GoFund page established for Mark's family. "As you can imagine, Kristen, Anna and Garrett are deep in grief with many needs in these first days."

Mark died after a fatal crash was reported on Marguerite Parkway and Antela May 16, Orange County Sheriff's Department Spokesperson Jaimee Blashaw said.

He was taken to a local hospital before succumbing to injures about an hour after the crash, she said.

Mark leaves behind two children, 12-year-old Anna and 10-year-old Garrett, as well as wife Kristen Robb. Kristen spoke to Patch about Mark's love for his family, nature and the open road.

"Family meant everything to Mark," Kristen said. "He loved to ride his motorcycle — it's something we did together."

Kristen said Mark loved to surf and was especially fond of the family's golden retriever, Jake.

She also said that Mark had 30 years of motorcycle experience under his belt and, at the time of his death, was coming home from work to his son's little league baseball game.
