Favorite Mission Viejo Happy Hour

With happy hours becoming increasingly rare, I thought it would be a great idea to shine a spotlight on the restaurants that still offer this delightful experience. I’ll be sharing my favorites on a weekly basis, so be on the lookout each week!

One of my all-time favorite happy hours is at Wineworks for Everyone in Mission Viejo. From 4:30 PM to 5:45 PM, Tuesday through Friday, you can enjoy a delightful selection of wines, beers, and cocktails ranging from $7 to $13, along with mouthwatering food options priced between $8 and $19. Tucked away in a cozy strip mall at the intersection of Oso Parkway and the 5 Freeway, don’t let the location fool you—this spot is a hidden gem!

As a local, I can confidently say that although their happy hour is brief, it’s absolutely worth it. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between classy and comfortable, making it an ideal place to unwind. I highly recommend making a reservation. I prefer like sit at the bar with friends, which is my favorite spot and also requires a reservation.

Their selection of wines is consistently excellent, and my personal favorite is the Sean Minor Chardonnay. The customer service is always top-notch, adding to the overall experience.

When it comes to food, you can’t miss the Brie fondue, which is served with thinly sliced pears and country toast—it’s simply divine! Interestingly, there’s also a restaurant adjacent to Wineworks called Dublin 4 Gastropub, owned by the same couple. I haven’t had the chance to visit yet, but they offer a similar happy hour, including Mondays!

Keep in mind that parking can be limited, with valet service available for $8. It’s definitely worth it unless you manage to snag a lucky spot out front by arriving early. The owners are local residents and truly wonderful people, and they also own Spirit & Fable on Via Lido in Newport Beach, which is equally fantastic!
