FBI Wants Former Mission Viejo Man in Alleged $20M Fraud
He and his father have been indicted, suspected of setting up phony businesses. Now the FBI and postal inspectors are searching for Robert Louis Carver II, formerly of Mission Viejo.
A former Mission Viejo resident is wanted by the FBI on a fraud indictment.
Prosecutors allege that Robert Louis Carver II, 36, formerly of Mission Viejo, and his father Robert Louis Carver, 56, formerly of Irvine, set up phony investment businesses between 2004 and 2008.
The pair were indicted Wednesday in Santa Ana by a federal grand jury on 14 counts, most of which related to mail fraud. They are accused of bilking over 300 investors out of $20 million.

The junior Carver is described as white, 6 foot 4, 250 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. The senior Carver is also white, 6 foot 1, 230 pounds, with blonde, graying hair and hazel eyes.
Postal inspectors urge anyone with information about either of the Carvers to contact the Postal Inspection Service National Law Enforcement Communication Center at 877-876-2455, select option 2, refer to Case No. 1730332-MF. Callers can remain anonymous.
